How to Write an E-Book

"How do you write an eBook?"

This is a question I'm regularly asked. Although I wouldn't consider myself an expert, especially not with the evolving technological advances, but I have successfully published a few books ranging from journals to non-fiction physical books, eBooks, and print-on-demand co-authored books.

Writing an eBook is a great way to get loads of information to your audience in an easily accessible and quick way. Here are some of the benefits of writing an eBook:

  • Unlike long-form printed publications that are purchased in-store or shipped, an eBook is immediately accessible the moment you're ready to read.

  • In some ways, eBooks have design capabilities like in-depth charts, graphs, and full-page images, which you may not be able to achieve on your blog.

  • Ebooks are incredibly portable, able to be stored on several devices with no physical storage space associated.

  • The reader gets the choice to print the eBook out if they want to consume the information in a traditional physical format. Otherwise, the digital format is environmentally friendly.

  • Ebooks are accessible to increase font sizes and read aloud with text-to-speech.

  • Ebooks are simply a person's way of delivering lots of critical information in a form their potential customers are most willing to read.

Making an eBook can be overwhelming. Not only do you have to write the content, but you also need to design and format it into a professional-looking document that people will want to download. That is why I created an eBook to help you, well... create an eBook.

How to Write an eBook

The information and content in this 47-page book make up my very own tried and actual steps from conception to final product, with a little bit of everything in between. In it, I am giving you all of the gems in one place for you to pursue your authorship endeavors because sharing is caring, and the world needs your story!

Inside these pages is the ultimate A to Z checklist for everything you need to do to bring that book to life. This guide will provide you with the information you will need, in the recommended order, to ensure that you have all of the tools for birthing your "book baby."

You can use it as a guide as you take steps to write your eBook or to explore the idea of publishing a physical book.

The Passion of Writing

Writing is one of my personal greatest passions as I believe it proves us a way to share so much with others. God has given some the gift of speaking, some the gift of preaching, and some the gift of storytelling. If you share in that natural grace and love for writing, I want to challenge you to put pen to paper (or your fingers to the keyboard) and share your abilities with the world through authorship. It no longer needs to look like how it once did in the traditional publishing sense.

There are things that I believe you have walked through and overcome that people need to hear about. There are testimonies that I believe you have that others would be moved by. You have a gift of conveying a beautiful story in the comfort of blank pages that motivate people towards love. Don't underestimate your contribution. The saying goes, "the pen is often mightier than the sword."

Additionally, and for a harder-hitting truth, I once saw a quote that said, "If your journals never become a book, you are a hoarder of information." E-books have undeniably become the most extraordinary ways to create devotionals, journal prompts, and platforms to share my learnings with others.

I hope that this guide will inspire you to take the following steps to publish your niche material and insight!
